The tale of Smithfield is a tale of blood. Plague pits, execution sites, hauntings, slaughterhouses- it's all happened here. We're going to take in the sights, and, yes, the smells, of this off-the-beaten-track part of London, and hear the horrifying tales of its inhabitants.

This tour takes place in Smithfield. You will be sent the exact meeting point upon payment. We will finish at Charterhouse Square.

How much does it cost?

My standard rate for a single tour is £275 for the group, or we can chain two tours together in a day for £420, and I'll find you somewhere nice for lunch in between. You may also wish to familiarise yourself with my cancellation policy.

The route covers just under a mile on foot.

It lasts between 75 and 90 minutes, depending on what's open en route.

This tour is not wheelchair-accessible. There are six steps down on this tour, and some pavements are too narrow for wheelchairs.

What should I wear?

We will be going outside, so please bring a hood or hat if it looks like rain.
