A History of the City
The City, also known as the Square Mile, is the oldest district in London, founded by the Romans in 43 CE. We're going to take in the full sweep of its 2,000-year history through its hidden passageways and off-the-beaten-track spots. We'll see a bombed-out church overgrown with vines, a 17th-century coffee shop, and the oldest thing built in the City.
The route has some overlap with the Slavery & The City tour.
